Teck, Canada’s largest diversified resource company, approached Backbone to develop a state-of-the-art, enterprise-level website that empowered multiple users and multiple departments within the company while creating a visually powerful and informative experience to visitors. Simple and intuitive navigation, no matter what device, was imperative. Further, we needed to combine Teck’s multiple sites under one domain in an easy-to-use management platform and seamlessly render interactive data from external APIs throughout the site. Easton/Raceface
With this build, there were two clear goals: launch into the market with stunning aesthetics that would capture their target audience; and build a strong customizable e-commerce foundation to enable online purchasing and facilitate future integration with warehousing while managing the complexities of their products. Race Face and Easton Cycling have stand-alone websites with unique product lines that cater to distinct market segments, but their sites share similar user groups: dealers, distributors, athletes, cycling enthusiasts and internal stakeholders. These tech-savvy clients wanted a variety of ways to present their content—and they had absolutely no appetite for cookie-cutter e-commerce templates that dictate how their products are displayed.
White Keys
White Key is a leading company for luxury villa rentals in Greece, managing a handpicked portfolio of the finest, privately-owned villas available for rent. Backbone designed an industry leading digital experience that speaks intuitively to the key drivers of the user experience and resonates with their customers.
Vancouver Coast Health
VCH requested a website with a simply directory database. What we delivered was a platform that could manage all of their digital assets and online initiatives. Supporting the main VCH website, their careers sites and various departmental micro-sites, it had to be safe, secure, reliable, and totally flexible and adaptable to changing needs. We started with the basics and laid down a strong technical foundation to start architecting VCH’s digital future, then developed 8 websites, followed by integrating the 8-1-1 services and Locations Directory from Health Link BC. This turned the website into a one-stop medical mega hub.
BC Construction Association
The British Columbia Construction Association (BCCA) represents 2000 companies and provides technology and services to support them largely through their website. Backbone built an updated digital solution that integrates the five groups (four regional chapters and a central body) while continuing to provide each region with their own website. The new solution creates efficiencies by digitizing and optimizing processes, allows users to view all member activity and history in one place, empowers members to toggle between BCCA.org and partner company BidCentral with single sign-on, integrate all purchase activity with their accounting software and improves the overall representation of the brand.
